Trick or Treat Hours
Date: 31 October 2024
Time: 6 PM to 8 PM
Location: All Aurora Housing Neighborhoods
During this time, Security Forces will be operating their pumpkin patrol, a special patrol that focuses on neighborhood and pedestrian safety.
SAFETY AND ETIQUETTE
1) Dress for the night
Wear weather appropriate attire. Currently temperatures are expected to be around freezing, so layers, hats, and gloves are encouraged.
2) Drive cautiously
Take it slow through the neighborhoods, keep your headlights on, and be aware of your surroundings. Security Forces has a zero tolerance policy for reckless, distracted, or drunk driving. If you witness reckless driving, please contact security forces immediately.
Just as vehicles are expected to be extra vigilant on Halloween, pedestrians should always look both ways before crossing any street.
3) Be visible
Wear bright, reflective colors and carry flashlights.
4) Exercise proper parental supervision
As always, parents should be a part of the trick or treat experience.
5) Be candy-conscious
Please only hand out wrapped candy. Additionally, parents should always inspect candy prior to letting children consume any.
6) Clear driveways and sidewalks of snow and ice
Should it snow, ensure your driveway is cleared. More information on snow removal responsibilities can be found in our handbook.
7) Pumpkin Policy
Pumpkins can be displayed outside only during trick-or-treat hours from 6 PM to 8 PM on 31 October 2024. Please remember to bring them inside after 8 PM.
